Office Ergonomic Assessment eOTo (each one teach one) Workshop
NSSOT is hosting an education session on office ergonomics! This interactive workshop will utilize adult educational
principles and interactive hands-on practice simulation to address content topics (including but not limited to):
What we have that they don’t: Why should Occupational Therapists complete office ergonomic assessments?
What’s the point? (Primary/Secondary/Tertiary Intervention)
90-90-90: and other principles of physical assessment
Skills practice – case studies and practice completing simulated ergonomic assessments at real-world workstations
20-20-20: Behavioural and environmental assessment and intervention (such as lighting/workplace policy/systems considerations)
Show me the money!: Height-adjustable workstations- the evidence
TMI: How much information is too much? Documentation considerations (including; need to know; consent; workplace privacy concerns; use of person-first and strengths-based language, etc )
This workshop is offered at no cost to NSSOT members, $250 for non-members.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
It is anticipated that the workshop will be approximately 90 minutes, dependent on the number of participants.
